Let us begin this topic with a question. Are we still evolving?

I grew up Christian. Rejected that. Dabbled in nihilism. Even optimistically, was too depressing. I then turned to Eastern thought. And found it to be very similar in principle to most other religions. What does science have to say about all of this?

As I was trying to construct a “correct” theory of the world, if found that nothing was satisfying. That is because truth is ultimately something that is felt not believed. It wasn’t until I went to music festival called Arkadia that my spiritual awakening turned from an intellectual understanding to a gnosis. See truth has no effect unless it is brought down into reality. It’s the debate between Aristotles and Plato. Wha’s more important the idea of truth or the expression of truth. I subscribe to the idea that both are necessary. You can have a correct belief but it doesn’t matter if that belief remains in the aether. It needs to be brought down into reality and expressed. This is the idea of gnosis. When thought merges with emotion. when belief find expression in feeling. When heaven is brought to earth.

This convergence began happening to me. Through psychedelic medicines, I was able to look past the veil seeing deeper into the nature of reality.

So are we still evolving?

My life changed when I read a book called The Law Of One. It’s a channeled text from the higher density consciousness Ra. In this book Ra lays out truths that resonated in me so deeply because it told me what I already knew. yes, this may be confirmation bias, but let’s just explore for a few moments.

In the Ra material, spiritual evolution is described in great detail.

There is one God. God is everything. From the rock to the consciousness that animates us. Evolution is the process of consciousness uncovering it’s own layers of separation from its true nature.

There are levels to it. You can think of these levels at octaves in music or the 7 chakras.
